I love showcasing the work my peers are doing to better the community. An art show raised awareness for mental health.

It was fun to be a part of this tradition at my school. This is not a story I would traditionally like, but I enjoyed taking photos and writing the article. I learned a lot about the prominence of breast cancer.

Letter from the Editor

I have enjoyed writing about how students can stay positive and be kind to their peers. I really like to be able to use my words to help.

2017-2018 School Year

Galloway Growth

I did not realize I liked writing about new developments until I wrote this article. I learned a lot about the subject and myself. 

Global State of Mind

It was exciting for me to speak wit local businesses and give them a spotlight in this article. I like the fairness of Fair Trade.

Trump and Taxes

I am still so proud that I was able to join professional journalists in the press pool for this article. Political views aside, this was an incredible experience.

Walking Flock

I fought to be able to write this article, and I'm glad that I did. It was also amazing to meet a student from Marjory Stoneman Douglas.

Breaking the Silence

This article sparked a lot of discussion within my school about what is considered sexual assault and harassment. I am proud of it, and I am glad I was able to write about this topic again this year.

High Standards

I worked hard to find out who to interview for this story. I was able to speak to exciting sources, like a man who was imprisoned for life because of marijuana charges.
